To Keep Growing

Words can create walls,

But words can also flow with the powers of time

And dissolve walls,

So I come to you,

Knowing you have served your soul's traitors

For far too long,

And have been oppressed by wrongful ways,

Which have torn the fabric of your potential,

But which can be mended,

Even not to be a clinging vine,

But a strong oak on parallel ground,

A benefit to my spirit,

A sign guiding me to my purest destiny...

As plants grow they send out new roots

And new stems, and new branches,

So, also, does the human mind,

And the mantle of the soul,

And the intent of the heart,

To not only recover from the lost days,

And the meandering shadows and tears,

But even to bloom in a new light of fulfillment,

You would join me to be treated

As I would treat myself upon any moment,

Because we are reflections of each other,

Not to be chained together as a burden,

But to be rightfully linked

With a faithful bond,

And to flow as two rivers

To the bluest tranquil sea...
